Our Objectives
Living Imprint uses the transformational power of life stories to enlighten and educate.
Our methods
We aim to trace the ‘living imprints’ – the unique ways in which individuals leave their mark on the
world – and, in turn, how the world impacts them. The ‘imprints’ that we gather from our narrators –
stories, memories, objects, artifacts, family photos – will be creatively interpreted and publicly
presented through a wide range of disciplines, including photography, video, text, performance and
visual arts. Each project takes the presentational form that best suits its subject.

- We seek to locate, collect and communicate the living histories of individuals and groups
whose stories might not otherwise be heard.
- We believe in the transformative, redemptive power of the life story and in its capacity to inspire,
educate and heal both the narrators and the listeners/audience.
- We engage in projects which showcase the uniqueness and resilience of the human
experience to raise awareness, promote understanding and engender respect and empathy.
