
Mike Moran and Birgit Muller
Artists for Visual Biography Section/Wallpapers - Photomontage
Mike and Birgit are multi-disciplinary artists living and working in Bristol. Their works cover
photography, illustration, installation and video, bringing together interests in ecology and
human rights.
Mike Moran
Born in Shropshire, Mike grew up on the Dorset coast. He studied at Bournemouth & Poole
College of Art and North Staffordshire University. Mike’s work currently consists of innovative
photomontage collages. Mike’s work has been used extensively in advertising, and editorial
design. He has exhibited at the Lowood Gallery, Armathwaite; The Conningsby Gallery, London;
Gallery 47, London and Qut Art Museum, Brisbane, Australia. His work has been featured in

Birgit Muller
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Birgit moved to the UK in 1997. She studied BA Hons degree in
‘Time Based Media’ and Master Degree in ‘Communication Research’ at the University of the
West of England. She has exhibited at The Angel Gallery, Islington; The Stroud House Gallery;
The Salt Gallery, Hayle, Cornwall; The Pierian Centre, Bristol and at an online exhibition in
conjunction with ‘Electric Pavilion’ at the Watershed Media Centre, Bristol
Mike and Birgit have worked together on Waiting For - a video installation formed around asylum
seekers’ personal experiences while awaiting decisions from the Home Office. This was
followed by 27kilos, an installation work focusing on the amount of C02 the average person
produces in a day.
